The ability to remain a strong business partner under pressure has earned Pace Farm the Aryzta 2025 Supplier Excellence Award.
Last month, Pace Farm attended Aryzta Australia/New Zealand’s Supplier Day, with Egg Product Sales Manager Alan McLeod and Quality Assurance Officer Flavia Corsello from the Quality Assurance team on hand to collect the award.
The Supplier Excellence Award recognised Pace Farm’s outstanding performance, unwavering communication and rock-solid reliability through one of the toughest years on record for egg producers.
The award is voted on by multiple departments across Aryzta, including sales, customer service, Quality Assurance (QA), warehousing, logistics, finance and egg processing, and Aryzta’s Procurement Manager for Asia-Pacific John Dennington said Pace Farm’s consistent excellence made it a worthy winner.
“Pace Farm consistently maintains the highest standard of Quality Assurance (QA), being ahead of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements,” Mr Dennington said.
“They have recorded no Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in the last 12 months – Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Product Information Forms (PIFs) are always timely and up to date, which is vitally important with a high-allergen product.
“Their warehouse and allocation of stock is always within best-before dates and never out of cycle and the drivers are courteous and always willing to assist.
“The Customer Service Team checks in weekly and if something doesn’t look right on a purchase order, they’re quick to double-check.
“Alan’s communication, especially over the last 12 months, was invaluable in keeping senior management informed of the challenges Pace Farm was navigating.”
Pace Farm has been a key supplier to Aryzta for more than a decade.
Aryzta is the principal manufacturer of McDonald’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) baked goods, using Pace Farm eggs in more than 51 million hotcakes, muffins, and banana breads produced annually, as well as Egg White Mix used in their macarons.
As part of the proceedings on the night, Pace Farm’s Alan McLeod gave a presentation on the egg industry’s journey over the past five years, covering major challenges such as Avian Influenza, Salmonella Enteritidis, and the industry-wide transition to cage-free eggs.
The talk highlighted how Pace Farm has worked closely with Aryzta to maintain continuity of supply and manage risk, particularly in an environment where eggs are a critical ingredient in their production.
A key takeaway was the role of open, honest, and timely communication in navigating supply pressures.
Over the past 12 months, Pace Farm’s proactive engagement with Aryzta’s procurement team has included transparent updates on the impact of Avian Influenza, mitigation strategies at the farm level and progress on recovery, all while maintaining customer demand.
