West Wyalong Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group received $5,000 to support NAIDOC Day celebrations across schools.

Blind Cricket ACT was awarded $5,000 to support multicultural inclusion through cricket programs for people who are blind or have low vision from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

“This funding is a game-changer for us and will be used to expand our programs and make cricket more accessible for multicultural people with vision impairments right here in the ACT.

This grant will help us create new opportunities, build stronger connections and ensure that everyone, no matter their background, has the chance to get involved in the sport we love.

Wyalong High School P&C Association will put $3,919 towards canteen upgrades with a focus on safety and equipment.

“We are incredibly grateful to Pace Farm for their generous Community Grant, which is helping us carry out essential remediation works for our school canteen.

Operated on a not-for-profit basis, the canteen is a vital resource for students and staff, many of whom rely on it for daily access to food.

Maintaining the facilities is often beyond our means, so support like this truly makes a difference.

The West Wyalong Tennis Club will use its $5,000 grant to upgrade lights on five courts, ensuring the town’s much-loved night competitions can continue safely for players of all ages and abilities.

“This funding has allowed us to complete important lighting upgrade works at the Tennis Club, which are critical for our night tennis events.

“With increasing keenness to play after work hours, and only two courts with sufficient lighting, we were at enormous risk of having to cancel these organised comps as not enough people could see the ball coming.

“Now we will be able to continue to provide this service to the community, which is ideal for shift workers, itinerant workers and embedded locals all keen to have this healthy recreational and social outlet.

“Tennis, like your eggs, puts years on your life and life in your years. Thank you to Pace Farm for supporting us.”

The Paterson Community Builders, from Paterson, a small country town in the NSW Hunter region, will use its $5,000 grant to establish the Paterson “Pop-in” Community Program to encourage residents to meet and collaborate in a welcoming space.

“It will help us run more inclusive programs, support local volunteers, and continue developing projects that bring people together.

“In the four weeks it has been open, the ‘Pop-In’ Community Hub has had a steady flow of amazing people pop in to discuss local ideas and issues, make craft, and chat over a cuppa.”

Lifeline Canberra delivers essential crisis support and suicide prevention services to individuals experiencing emotional distress. Through its 24/7 crisis line and community programs, Lifeline provides immediate support to those who need it most, helping people in local communities.

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation that supports families and individuals in rural Australia following natural disasters. Its focus is on supporting farmers to rebuild after bush fires. The organisations draws on the power of volunteers to offer services including building fences, other farm infrastructure and providing emergency fodder for livestock.

Pace Farm presented BlazeAid with $5,000 and will contribute towards fencing materials, emergency fodder for livestock and the costs of running volunteer basecamps.

The CFA provides vital emergency response and fire suppression services to communities. This grant was awarded to the Kinglake West Fire Brigade. The brigade is located on the north-east outskirts of Melbourne and their volunteers play a critical role in protecting lives, property and the environment, particularly during the recent December-January bushfires.

Pace Farm is pleased to award The Kinglake West Fire Brigade $5,000.  This grant will contribute to the purchase of new operational equipment to ensure the members of the fire brigade have the tools they need to protect the community.

Inala Wangarra Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation hosts the Yakka Mallar Men’s group which operates fortnightly and provides a safe place for First Nations Men to come together and yarn about their wellbeing and mental health as well as participating in cultural and social activities such as art, fishing, bushwalks and regular information sessions from relevant service providers. This initiative with the support of Pace Farm’s Community Grant will support the Yakka Mallar Men’s group to purchase equipment that they can use to get involved and give back to the community in a practical sense that contributes to their own wellbeing and sense of connection in the community.

Lalor Park Community Garden was awarded funding to assist with the installation of a new greenhouse to support sustainable seedling production. Run entirely by volunteers, the garden brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to grow food, share knowledge, and build community connections.

The greenhouse will help improve the garden’s ability to produce vegetable, native, and ornamental plants, supporting its ongoing focus on community wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and local food resilience.
